Basic screens

This section describes the Home screen, which is used for translation, the Launcher, which is used for other features, and the lock screen.

Home screen and Launcher

* The Home screen is displayed when [Translation direction correction] is [OFF]. The functions and display of the Launcher may differ between the Japan domestic and global models.

Home screen and Launcher screen

In global models, the following home screen will be displayed.

ADisplays the Launcher.
BDisplays the translation history when swiped downward. This is displayed when the [Save History] setting is [ON].

CFrequently used features can be placed here.

DChanges the language to be translated (the blue background indicates the source language). In the Japan domestic model, this is displayed when the [Translation direction correction] setting is [OFF].
EReturns to the Home screen.
FDisplays the status of the following from left to right.
  • Mobile network status
  • Wi-Fi network status
  • Battery level
GProvides useful features other than translation. For details, refer to Features available from the Launcher.

Lock screen

Lock screen

If the [Display lock screen] setting is [ON], the lock screen will be displayed when the device is not used for a certain period of time.

To unlock the screen, swipe the slider. If the [PIN code] is [ON], swipe the slider and then enter the PIN code to unlock.

About the lock screen

The upper row displays the current location and time.
The lower row displays the previously visited location and time.
The battery level and communication status are displayed at the upper right of the screen.
