Security Settings
Ventana enables centralized management of security measures. The following features can be remotely configured for Pocketalk devices managed by Ventana:
* These features are available only to Admin and Editor users.
- Screen lock with PIN code
- Enable screen lock on the Pocketalk device to prevent unauthorized access by users outside the organization.

- Lock features that are non-essential in business settings or those that you wish to prevent from being altered unnecessarily.Set usage restrictions on the Pocketalk device's features
- Automatic deletion by timer
- Set automatic deletion of translation history after a specified period of time to minimize the risk of data leakage.Automatically Deleting the Translation History
- Mobile data/Wi-Fi settings lock
- This feature is available only for the Pocketalk S2 series and prevents users from modifying network-related settings on the device.Restrictions on changing mobile data/Wi-Fi settings
- Emergency device lock for lost devices
- In the event of loss or theft, the Pocketalk device can be locked remotely through Ventana.Lost Mode Devices
- Remote resetting of the Pocketalk device
- You can restore the Pocketalk device to its factory settings through remote operation.Reset
Record Translation History
You can save the Pocketalk device’s translation history to Ventana. The saved translation history can be exported in CSV format.
This feature is available to Admin users only. To enable saving, click 
(Settings) - [Security], then turn the [Record Translation History] switch to 
.
NOTE
- The [Record Translation History] feature applies to all Pocketalk devices managed by Ventana.
- When the [Record Translation History] switch is set to
, saving to Ventana will stop, and all previously saved translation history will be deleted and cannot be restored.
To customers who have been using Ventana since before November 29, 2023 [U.S. time]
For customers mentioned above, Ventana and Pocketalk devices are set to have this feature enabled. This is because this feature was not present in the initial release version of Ventana, and all customers' Pocketalk devices were configured to save translation history. It is recommended that you review your feature settings to decide if you wish to disable this feature.
